The departure of the 9-day tour from Casablanca itinerary is dependent on your flight arrival. In the case of a morning arrival, our guide will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name. The next stop will be Volubilis, where you will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating Roman ruins and gain insights into Morocco’s rich archaeological history. After the visit, you will continue your journey towards Meknes, a city known for its 17th-century heritage. Here, you will stop for lunch and have the chance to wander around the historical walls of the Medina, visit the grand Bab El Mansour Gate, and explore Moulay Ismail’s shrine.

Following breakfast, your day will commence with a guided visit to the captivating city of Fes. As a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most spiritually significant cities in Morocco, Fes has played a vital role in Moroccan civilization for over five centuries. It served as a renowned cultural and intellectual hub, rivaling European centers during its prime. Additionally, Fes is an excellent starting point for Fes to Marrakech Sahara desert tours.

During today’s exploration, you will have the opportunity to discover various attractions, including:
– The Royal Palace Gate.
– The Mellah, also known as the Jewish quarter.
– The University of Karaouine, established in 859 and recognized as the world’s oldest continually operating institution of higher learning.

In the afternoon, you will have the chance to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Fes Medina from a tower. Today you will satrt the desert tour part at from Fes to Merzouga desert.

First stop will be at the national park of Ifrane city also called Moroccan Switzerland. The construction of the building is totally different than any other city of Morocco. and the reason is it gets snow a lot in this area in the winter. After that a short drive to Azrou Cedar Forest, it’s the biggest cedar forest in Africa. And its nature is home of wild monkeys. This is your chance to meet those friendly animals to feed them.

You will continue exploring the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. They are green in the spring and covered of snow in the winter. The mountain is home to some Berber tribes.

You will pass via some Berber villages and small towns such as Zaida or Midet where you can take a break for lunch. The area is known for the apple trees.

We will carry on travelling to cross the east part of High Atlas Mountains and drive along Ziz valley and through its palm tree groves. Pass by Erfoud, a nice town where you can visit a marble workshop and fossils. Continue to Merzouga check in to the hotel. Enjoy Fes to Merzouga day trip.

In the afternoon you will reach Merzouga Sahara desert. you will start camel trekking experience. You will leave the car and ride your camel to desert camp in the middle of Erg Chebbi Dunes.

The dunes are located south east of Morocco. and the Sahara desert is large as 35 km long and 5 to 8 km wide it’s also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa.

The camel treks take about 1h 30 min from Merzouga town to the nomadic camp. We have both luxury and normal comfort camp. In the camp we have western bathroom, kitchen and dining room.

After delicious Tagine at the dinner the Berber guide will make some berber music. They use traditional drums. you will play drums and watch stars around the fire.

Today, your day will commence early in the morning, allowing you to witness the enchanting sunset behind the majestic sand dunes. As the sun rises, the colors of the landscape transform, creating a truly magical experience.

Following this, you will enjoy breakfast and have the opportunity to shower at the camp if you have chosen the luxury desert camp for your accommodation. Alternatively, if you have selected the standard camp, you will have breakfast and a shower at a guest house in Merzouga after your camel ride across the sand dunes.

After your unforgettable Sahara desert experience, it will be time to depart from Merzouga and make your way towards Dades Gorge. Along the way, you will pass through the ancient Moroccan city of Rissani, renowned for its authentic local markets. Take a moment to explore the markets, which take place on Sundays, Thursdays, and Tuesdays. Rissani is also known for its donkey station, adding to its unique charm. Continuing on, you will journey through Alnif and Tinghir, a charming city surrounded by valleys and lush oases. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the world-famous Todra Gorge, an awe-inspiring canyon that reaches a height of 300 meters. As you travel, you will pass through the Roses Valley and Kalaat Mgouna, famous for its pink roses and the annual festival held during the rose harvest in May. Continuing on, you will follow the scenic road of the Thousand Kasbahs, which offers numerous picturesque photo opportunities showcasing the beauty of nature. These kasbahs are ancient traditional Berber houses constructed with clay and hay.

Later on, you will proceed to Ouarzazate, renowned for its association with the film industry and notable productions like Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and Lawrence of Arabia. During your time in Ouarzazate, you will have the opportunity to visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Cinema Atlas Studio. Afterward, you will drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. Constructed by the Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 13th century, this kasbah now holds the prestigious title of a UNESCO World Heritage site and remains inhabited by several Berber families.
