We usually start camel rides at 4 pm. The camel will take you for 1 h 30 min exploring the golden sand dunes. This is a great opportunity to take amazing pictures.
Before you reach camp you will stop and climb high dune to watch the wonderful sunset. They said it’s one of the best sunsets on the planet.
Then you will go to your camp and the Berber guide will welcome you with a glass of mint tea. here you will know more about Berber’s culture.

Itinerary:Merzouga – Erg Chebbu Dunes
1st start camel treking around 4p,
First day of overnight Camel trek Merzouga to the desert camp. The Trek will start at 4 /5 pm on the Merzouga edge of Erg Chebbi. It’s recommended to arrive in the afternoon early to watch the sunset.
You will ride your camel for 1 h 30 min and explore the spectacular view of golden sand dunes. Before you reach the desert camp you will stop to climb high sand dunes to watch the beautiful sunset.
Continue camel ride to arrive at the camp in the middle Sahara. The team will show you the camp and your tent. and serve you min tea.
After a delicious dinner at the camp the Berber guide will start traditional music using drums. you will have the opportunity to play and dance.

Best time to visit Merzouga & Erg Chebbi Sahara desert is from September to November. And From February to May. Summer ( July and August ) in Merzouga Sahara is hot, averaging around 45ºC during the day. but at night the weather is okay.
Our visitors go in the afternoon late and come back early in the morning. and during the winter (December and January ) in the desert it is very cold, especially at night or early morning.
Please prepare a small backpack with personal belongings. Do not forget sunglasses, a scarf, comfortable walking shoes and in winter also warm clothes. For the camel ride we recommend to wear jeans or long trousers.
To get to Desert camp in the middle of sand dunes there other means of transport rather than the camels as : take 4WD car or ATVs quad biking, And also by trekking or walking.
