Day 1: Arrive in Casablancam – Fes
The 7 days tour from Casablanca Morocco itinerary departure depend on your flight arrival. Our expert guide will meet you in the airport or in your hotel in Casablanca and drive to Fes . If the time allow you ,we can make short stops to visit the important places in those cities as well as the Roman ruins then it’s on to Fes where you’ll arrive in the evening and here you’ll overnight in a traditional Moroccan house (riad).
Day 2: Guided sightseeing tour of Fes
After breakfast , you will start visiting Fes with the local guide. Fes is a UNESCO worlde heritage site and is also considered one of the most spiritual and religious cities in Morocco. It has stood at the heart of Moroccan civilization for over five centuries and was a major cultural and intellectual center, competing with those of Europe. Fes is also an ideal starting point for Fes to Marrakech Sahara desert tours. Today in this visit you will explore the following attractions : The Royal Palace Gate. The Jewish quarter called also Mellah. University of Kairouine founded in 859, considered the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in the world. The Tannery, it’s traditional place where they make hand made leather stuff. Pottery & Zellij Tile Cooperative where old techniques of how Zellij and pottery is made. Option to participate in making Zellij tile or pottery making. Great for shopping for a purchase of fabulous pottery, Zellij tiled tables, Zellij fountains and more.
In the afternoon you will enjoy the panoramic view of over the whole Medina of Fes through a tower. Also you will see the famous Blue Gate, It was the main entrence of Medina. After you explore Fes you will go to you Riad.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley– Erfoud – Merzouga desert [463km / 8H].
Today after breakfast you will start your journey from Fes to Merzouga desert.
Fist stop at national park of Ifane city called also Moroccan Switzerland. The constructure of the building is totally different than any other city of Morocco. and reason is it get snow a lot in this area in winter. Make stop to take picture of white lion statue.
A short drive to Azrou Cedar Forest, it’s the biggest cedar forest in Africa. And it’s nature home of wild monkies. This is your chance to meet those friendly animals to feed them.
Continue exploring over the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. They are green in the spring and covered of snow in the winter. the mountain is home of some Berber tribes.
Pass via some Berber villages and small towns as Zaida or Midet where to make break fore lunch. The area know for the apples trees.
Carry on travelling to cross the east part of High Atlas Mountains and drive along Ziz valley and through it’s palm tree groves. Pass by Erfoud, a nice town where you can visit a marble workshop and fossils.
In the afternoon get to Merzouga Sahara desert village to start camel trekking to desert camp. To reach the camp you will ride your camel over sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The dunes are located south east of Morocco. and Sahara desert is large as 35 km long and 5 to 8 km wide it’s also reputed as the highest sand dunes in North Africa.
The camel treks takes about 1h 30 min from Merzouga town to the nomadic camp. We have both luxury and normal comfort camp. in the camp we have western bathroom kitchen and dining room.
After delicious Tagine at the dinner the Berber guide will make some berber music. They use traditional drums. you will play drums and watch stars.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge [ 270km / 6.5 Hours ]
Today starts in early morning to watch the magic sunset behind the dunes. the color is changing while sun rises up.
The breakfast and shower at the camp if you select luxury desert camp for your desert commendation. If you choose Stadard normal camp you will have breakfast and shower in a guest house in Merzouga after camel riding across the sand sea
After great adventure desert experience in Sahara desert. You will leave Merzouga and travel to Dades Gorge. Pass by Rissani . it’s ancient Moroccan city famous by it’s authentic local markets ( Stop to see the the markets. days of the markets are : Sunday, Thursdays and Tuesday. also its famous for donkeys station ). Later on , continue to Alnif and Tinghir. it’s charming city surrounded by valleys and oasis. Visit the world famous Todra Gorge. it’s an impressive canyon 300m high. Here you will have a short walk between clifs of the canyon and bisde Todra river.
After break for lunch continue exploring Morocco to Dades valley and Gorge. check in to your hotel in Boumalne Dades. enjoy Morocco excursion from Merzouga to Tinghir and then to Boumalne Dades.
Day 5: Dades – Roses valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Hadou – High Atlas Mountains- Marrakech [ 330 km / +7 Hours ]
Today After breakfast in Dades you start traveling to Marrakech. Pass by Roses valley and Kalaat Mgouna famous for pink roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May. Continue through the road of the Thousand Kasbahs , which offers many adorable photo opportunities of nature . The Kasbah is ancient tradition Berber house built of clay and hay.
later continue day trip to Ouarzazate. The city famous for cinema and movies as Game Of Thrones, Gladiator, Lawrence Of Arabia Have chance to visit Taourirte Kasbah and Cinema Atlas Studio . Drive To Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah , the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 13th century, it is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Berber family members. you will have a guided visit in this fortified Berber village. here you will feel like you are a movie star . Stop for lunch along the way via High Atlas Mountains.
After 4 hours in the mounatisn you will reach Marrakech. check in to your Riad.
Day 6: Visit of Marrakech with local guide
Today you will visit Marrakech with a local guide. Marrakech or Marrakesh also called “Red City” is one of 4 imperil cities of Morocco. You will explore main tourist attractions and monuments of the city including famous Jamma el Fna square , It’s Marrakech’s main square and the most important part of the Medina. Our visitors go afternoon late and come back early morning. and during the winter (December and January ) in desert is very cold specially at night or early morning but our camp is equipped with enough mattresses and blankets.
