Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Dunes

Start your journey in Fes, one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco. Head to Ifrane, a charming alpine town known for its Swiss-style architecture and ski resorts. After that, the tour continues to Azrou, a small town located in the Middle Atlas Mountains known for its cedar forest, where you will have the opportunity to see the Barbary apes (a type of monkey) living in the wild.
Then it continues to Midelt, a town located in the Atlas Mountains known for its beautiful landscapes. After lunch, the tour continues to the Ziz Valley, a spectacular valley of palm groves and oasis. It then goes to Erfoud, a city known for its fossils and the production of Dates.

Day 2: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga Desert Exploration

The second day of the tour is dedicated to exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest and most impressive dunes in Morocco. The day starts with a 4×4 excursion in the morning, where you will have the opportunity to see the stunning landscapes of the dunes, learn about the desert ecology and geology, and visit nomadic families. You will learn about their way of life, customs, and traditions. Additionally, you will also visit Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music, a traditional type of music that originated from sub-Saharan Africa and is popular in the southern regions of Morocco.
In the afternoon, you will have a camel trek and spend the night in a traditional desert camp. During the camel trek, you will have the opportunity to explore the dunes from a different perspective and experience the traditional way of desert transportation.
